What to see in Palafrugell

On the Costa Brava is the perfect and seductive landscape of Palafrugell, unmissable on holidays, improving over the years. Its arch lets you see the best of the sea and is just the beginning of the most awaited summer days. It is the best place in the open air in Girona and it has it all. The sun that illuminates the sea and nearby pine trees.

It has the urban and bohemian comfort of the fishing coast that inspires by its simplicity. On the first Saturday in July the Calella de Palafrugell cantata, a tradition dating back to the 18th century in the time of pirates, heralds the best holidays until September, although it is always bright on the map.

Eight coves and beaches with a special rocky charm, ideal for hiking. The Golfet cove with four islets and incredible views. The beach of Sant Roc is unique and perfect for diving and swimming, with the tall Hotel Sant Roc founded in the 50s, with views of the coast of Calella.

The Burricaires viewpoint on Port Pelegrí beach overlooks the summer promenade and colourful huts with restaurants and beach activity. It is a great beach for diving, snorkelling and boat trips.

The crystal clear beach of La Platgeta concentrates family amenities in just a few metres. Playa d’en Calau, with 75 metres of golden sand and crystal clear waters for fun, has the Calella sailing club. The beaches of Port Bo, de les Barques and Canadell are also superbly equipped for fun.
